JOY
Be filled with joy! That is what the cover of my journal says, and I find that this saying keeps me inspired to be my best for everyone--my students, my family, my friends...even my cat (who is as ornery as they come to everyone in my household but me). I teach because that is where my talents and instinct lay, and I find myself being "the teacher" everywhere I go. I'm pretty involved in our church and while participating in worship team rehearsals or coordinating the little girls liturgical dance that teacher in me pops up all over. So much of teaching is management and keeping things moving at a pace that accomplishes an end goal, whatever it might be. That's what I find myself doing most of the time outside of the classroom, but I still attribute it to teaching. It's a profession that transfers to all aspects of life. JOY is life and my teaching life is definitely a petal on that flower. I would like to explore a source of joy in some way each day, lofty goal, I know--but I will try. Until next time all: Be Filled with JOY!Mary
